About the Festival.

It is a festival for the Saudi university theater that aims to encourage interest in the Diodrama Theater (only two actors on stage) and activate it on an international scientific and artistic basis, to reach a meaningful, fun, and specialized university theater, through which students’ theatrical talents are discovered in various theatrical performances. The festival is implemented with a periodic competitive system between the participating teams. This competition also aims to develop the talents of students and discover their artistic, intellectual, and literary abilities.

This course is hosted by King Saud University during the period from 20-24 Sha 'ban 1444 H, corresponding to 12-16 March 2023.

Objectives of the Theatre Festival:

• Promoting the university theater movement through artistic and literary competition between Saudi university theater clubs.

• Raising the theatrical awareness of university students interested in performing arts.

• Discovering, encouraging, and honing students' artistic talents and abilities in line with the executive programs of the Kingdom Vision 2030 in the (Quality of Life Program 2020) track, which is concerned with developing the culture, arts, and entertainment sectors.

• Developing the spirit of love, interest, and activation of theater as an artistic, cultural, and educational means since a long time ago.

• Acquaintance and exchange of experiences between representatives and staff of students of Saudi universities.
