Anti-Smoking Program

It is an initiative aimed at tobacco control at the level of King Saud University through a system of awareness, health, and preventive services, in cooperation with several sectors to provide health services in this field, according to the Saudi manual for quit services.

Vision:

Reaching the highest level in preventive and therapeutic services to reduce tobacco use within the university.

Mission

Contributing to providing the best preventive and therapeutic services to the largest possible segment of those wishing to quit smoking within the university through qualified and trained cadres and accredited, according to the latest standards of the Saudi manual, and striving to make King Saud University a smoke-free university.

Strategic Objectives:-

  • Working to strengthen cooperation between the university and the National Centers for Tobacco Control, including other sectors, to provide preventive treatment services against smoking at the highest levels and standards.
  • Activating health education and maintaining preventive services 
  • Helping those wishing to quit smoking by maintaining therapeutic services (behavioral and pharmacological).
