Objectives and Tasks:
The Administration of Nutrition seeks to provide all that is new in food services and provide multiple options according to the latest technologies in a modern manner. This reflects positively on the services supporting the basic educational mission of the university. The administration also relies on health and administrative cadres specialized in the fields of food science, nutrition, and human nutrition to accomplish its tasks.
Objectives of the Administration:
- Quality in all services provided to university employees and visitors, whether in form or taste.
- Offering varied, balanced, and healthy meals.
- Preparing a comfortable place for the university staff and visitors.
- Raising the efficiency of performance and continuous education.
- Following up on developments in the field of food to achieve the wishes of the beneficiaries
- Ensuring that the style and methods of work are varied.
- Commitment to providing meals from multiple sources.
- Working to apply health requirements when preparing meals to produce high-quality and safe meals.
Tasks of the Nutrition Administration
- Setting the conditions and specifications for nutrition services at the university and following up on their implementation.
- Determining the additional needs for nutrition services at the university and working to implement them.
- Working to spread nutritional awareness by providing awareness and educational brochures.
- Supervising the establishment and implementation of parties for the university and its employees.
- Training of students specialized in the field of food.
- Ensuring the presence of several food companies in various services to work at the university
- Supervising meals provided to gifted and talented programs.
The administration participates in some activities that need food supervision, such as preparing graduation ceremonies with free meals and drinks and participating in the joy of graduation for students.
- Supervising meals provided to visiting student delegations to the university.
- Supervising the meals provided for cultural and sports courses and activities.
- Receiving the proposals of students and employees and seeking to develop food services.
- Receiving complaints from beneficiaries of food services and working to resolve them.
- Receiving hospitality requests (for master's and doctoral discussions, workshops, conferences, training courses, etc.) to coordinate with the Nutrition Provider at King Saud University to implement it.
